snail mail is a dysphemistic retronym - named after the snail with its slow speed. Used to refer to letters and missives carried by conventional postal delivery services
This project initiated when Beste Miray Doğan sent me a Moleskine cahier notebook in 2008 filled with intriguing images and collages. I soon responded by sending her my version of A Visual Diary for Beste and this carries on till today.
